The woman behind WaxBox.

Welcome! You’ve made it this far, so you must be interested… wink-wink. Before we take this any further, you might feel a little more comfortable knowing a bit about me before the pants come off.

Hop in—let’s take a little ride in the “Way-Back Machine.”

Smoke clears.

The year is 2014—or was it 2015? IDK. Honestly, it doesn’t matter.

Anyway, I was beginning my fourth year of college. It was the first week of classes, and as I pulled into the campus entrance, I found myself deep in agonizing thought, staring into the void of nothingness while the road brought me closer and closer to the Hogwarts-Esque structure.

That was my brain lately.

Although it was a memorably warm and sunny September day, I couldn’t shake this overwhelming sense of gloom and doom. Something was telling me to stay away—in fact, to RUN away.

It was my intuition.

My intuition was screaming at me to get the f*ck out of there.

“You are not where you’re supposed to be, girl!”

It was clear that I had been ignoring that wise little voice—the one you can only access from somewhere deep within. I admit, I hadn’t been listening lately.

Well, it had my attention now!

Suddenly, it hit me: I was trying to become something I wasn’t in a place I wasn’t meant to be. As the doom began to fade and the gloom started to lift, everything became clear.

The path most taken was not the path I was meant to take.

I turned my car around and didn’t look back.

Finally, I was on the right path… or was I? Was this really the right decision?

After completing three years of college—barely—and pretending to be someone I wasn’t, I finally acted on the lifelong thought that had been nagging me:

“Go to beauty school.”

So, I said “sayonara,” became a college dropout, and enrolled at The Salon Professional Academy, where I earned my aesthetician license.

But first, I called my girlfriends and went to the bar.

Naturally.

Right out of school, I spent two years at The Day Spa in De Pere, where I learned so much about the industry, continued developing my skills, and discovered my love for body waxing.

Shout-out to TDS!

Then, in 2018, my brainchild came to life. I opened Wax Box and have proudly and independently owned my waxing salon ever since.

The rest is history—and the rest of the story is only available straight from the horse’s mouth.

Bam! We’re not strangers anymore.

Pants off—let’s wax that boom-boom!
